Heritage of Ogoni Development Association is the brain-trust of three passionate professional Ogoni diaspora who are now living in the United States. These successful founders of Ogoniland are Mr. Hart Atowoh Nakwaasah (Korokoro-Tai), Dr. John Nubari Ntagha(Zor Sogho-Khana), and Mr. Emmanuel Barile Epeh(Gwarra-Khana).
Our mission for unification has been bonded together by our shared aspirations, motives and common goals. We are determined to render our expertise by empowering, improving, educating, protecting the ecosystem, and restoring the dignity and decency of our culture. We're indigenous people who are marginalized in the Niger Delta coast of Nigeria in West Africa. Our community has abundant natural resources but we are non beneficiaries. We lack basic necessities such as clean drinking water, hospitals, security, electricity, and infrastructure.
Furthermore, the oil rich land of Ogoni has been exploited by the infamous Shell British Petroleum company. The petroleum giant has decimated our beloved pristine community by permitting the careless spilling of oil over our native land. The entire ecosystem has suffered a devastating blow that has lasted for decades now. Confirmed by environmental study, evidence has shown the negative effects the oil exploitation has had on our community's farms, water, and air quality.
Subsequently, the late Ken Saro Wiwa protested the atrocities of Shell and paid the ultimate price of death. Since then, the oil giant shell has been under responsive to its corporate obligation to the suffering Qgoni community. As a result of this negligence lives are ruined and insecurities are prevalent.
Above all, we are calling on all world organizations and private sectors to assist HODA INC to alleviate the suffering of Ogoni Community. The Suffering Children of Ogoni are pleading for our return to human dignity our forefathers were born with. We are asking for your donations to help reach this humanitarian goal. The untapped potential of the people of Ogoni is immeasurable. We just need the help that will enable us to build our momentum!
